Arguably traditionally an exposé for proponents of the roots-reggae genre, the Rebel Salute festival has sought to include dancehall acts, who are usually charged with the task of making a clean and positive presentation and that which is in line with the principles of the festival.

The food village within the festival has always been active reason that patrons sought to familiarize themselves with foods and juices that are healthier and natural. The reviews on the food village is as significant as the festival itself, which promotes a holistic, healthier lifestyle.

Rebel Salute festival provides arts, craft and authentic Jamaican fashion are also part of this exotic exhibit with over 30 exhibitors displaying a dazzling array of, deftly crafted indigenous works.

Rebel Salute introduced a new and exciting component, the Herb Curb, (2016) which was a hit, nearly as much as the many hits that the long line-up of artistes performed on stage over the two nights at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in Priory, St Ann.
